Yes
and No. There are five projects in California looking at ways to help people
become more self-determined and use Individualized Funding. Every project
is doing things a little differently. This is so the Department of Developmental
Services has different experiences and procedures to consider when making
recommendations to the State Legislature and in developing statewide policies
and procedures regarding self-determination efforts. You will be part of the
San Diego Project. We might do things differently, but you will help us decide
what works best by working with us.
